Be Realistic About Driving Time

The most useful thing to know when designing your own route is how far apart places really are: Marrakech to Merzouga is around nine hours' drive, Fes to Merzouga about seven, Marrakech to Fes six to seven, and Casablanca to Marrakech two and a half to three. A route with too many long legs leaves little time to enjoy the places themselves.
