With dozens of possible routes through Morocco, the real work of planning a trip is less about finding a tour and more about figuring out which itinerary shape actually matches what you want to see.

Start with What You Want Most

Most Morocco packages fall into a few overlapping categories: imperial-cities-focused routes centered on Fes and Meknes, desert-focused routes built around a night at Merzouga, and combined routes that fold in the Atlas Mountains and the coast. Deciding which of these matters most to you narrows the field quickly.

Match the Route to Your Time

Shorter packages (3–5 days) tend to focus tightly on one region, most often a Marrakech-to-desert loop. Week-long packages typically add the imperial cities. Two-week itineraries are the only ones that comfortably fit the desert, the imperial cities, and the coast without feeling rushed.

Check the Departure City

Packages are usually built around a specific starting point — Marrakech, Casablanca, Fes, or Tangier — since that shapes which direction the route naturally flows. Starting and ending in different cities can also save doubling back on the same roads.
