The village of Akchour sits inside Talassemtane National Park, about 28 kilometers — roughly 45 minutes — from Chefchaouen. The valley of the Oued Kelaa river here holds a series of waterfalls, natural turquoise pools, and river crossings that make up one of the most rewarding hiking days in northern Morocco.

God's Bridge (Pont de Dieu)

The lower trail leads to God's Bridge, a massive natural limestone arch spanning the canyon — a roughly 1.5-hour hike each way through shaded forest and along the river. It is the shorter and more accessible of the two main routes.

The Grand Cascade

The upper trail continues past a series of pools and smaller cascades to the Grand Cascade, a 100-meter waterfall. Reaching it from the God's Bridge junction adds roughly two more hours each way, so seeing both in one day is a genuinely full day out.
