6 Days Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech via Fes & Desert

We will meet you at the airport or your Casablanca hotel and take you on a drive to Fes, passing through Rabat and Meknes. If we have enough time, we can make quick stops to see important sites in those cities, including the Roman ruins. After that, we'll head to Fes, where you'll arrive in the evening and stay overnight in a traditional Moroccan house (riad).

After breakfast, a guided tour to explore the rich historical heritage of Fes City. Our itinerary includes visiting iconic historical sites, such as Madrasa El Bouinania, renowned for its stunning Marinid architecture and contribution to Moroccan history. Additionally, we will tour the El Quaraoiyin mosque and University, which holds the title of the world's oldest continuously operating higher educational institution, as recognized by UNESCO and Guinness World Records. Other highlights of our tour include a stop at the Pottery Village, Nejjarine Square, the South Tower, and the king's residence. Afterward, you will have some free time to explore on your own. Early departure from your accommodation, and we'll travel through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains, with our first stop being Ifrane, often referred to as "Little Switzerland" due to its unique alpine architecture and cool climate. Take a stroll through its pristine streets and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. We continue our journey and traverse the scenic landscapes of the Middle Atlas, passing through cedar forests and picturesque valleys. Keep an eye out for Barbary macaques that inhabit the area. As we approach the magnificent Merzouga Desert, the scenery will transform into rolling dunes that seem to stretch to the horizon. Upon reaching Merzouga, you'll be captivated by the golden beauty of the desert. Embark on a two hours camel trek into the heart of the dunes as the sun sets and paints the sky with vibrant hues. Arriving at our luxurious desert camp, you'll be welcomed with warm hospitality, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and experience the magic of the desert night, filled with starry skies and Berber music.

Upon your request, our attentive staff will wake you up at dawn, ensuring you don't miss the mesmerizing spectacle of the desert sunrise. Watch in awe as the vibrant colors of the sand create a stunning contrast against the dunes, painting an incredible palette of shadows. You will have breakfast after experiencing this magical moment. Following breakfast, take some time to relax and unwind before embarking on a thrilling 4WD off-road tour, offering you an immersive desert experience. Begin by meeting and interacting with desert nomads in their traditional tents, gaining insight into their unique way of life. Next, drive across the high plateau of the rocky desert, enjoying panoramic views of the dunes and diverse desert landscapes. Your journey will lead you to the captivating "Ghost Town" of Mifis, an abandoned mining village where ancient eye cosmetics like Kohl and quartz were once excavated. Here, you may also spot fascinating fossils of turtles, trilobites, ammonites, and orthoclase, remnants of the creatures that inhabited this ancient sea millions of years ago. Continue your exploration from geology to music as you visit Khamlia Village, a town inhabited by darker-skinned Berbers. Immerse yourself in the unique sounds of Gnawa music, performed by local people who are descendants of ex-slaves that migrated to Morocco from Senegal and Sudan via the Salt Route. Enjoy a live show of Gnawa spiritual music and savor a delightful homemade Berber pizza for lunch. Your journey continues to the oasis of Merzouga, where you can explore the community gardens and visit the nomadic depository. We drive to the Riad for the overnight stay.

After breakfast, we'll depart for Todgha Gorge, known for its towering canyon walls and crystal-clear river. Take a walk through the narrow gorge, marveling at the sheer beauty and immensity of the surroundings.We continue our journey to Dades Valley, a paradise of stunning rock formations, verdant oases, and picturesque villages. As we drive along the scenic route, enjoy the panoramic views of the valley and its fascinating geological formations, such as the Monkey Fingers and the Dades Gorges. We'll stop for an overnight stay in an authentic riad in Dades Valley.­

After breakfast, our journey begins at the renowned Atlas Studio, where you'll step into the world of cinema and get a behind-the-scenes look at the film industry. Discover the sets and props used in famous movies and TV shows, immersing yourself in the magic of filmmaking. Next, we'll visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village that has served as the backdrop for numerous films and series. Marvel at the intricate mud-brick architecture and wander through the labyrinthine streets. Continuing our journey, we'll continue to the historic Telouet Kasbah. Admire the grandeur and opulence of this former palace, which showcases the region's rich architectural heritage. Explore its beautifully decorated rooms, intricately carved ceilings, and vibrant tile work, gaining insights into the area's fascinating history.The drive continues to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains, where the road winds through picturesque villages, offering glimpses of traditional Berber architecture and terraced fields clinging to the mountainsides. The scenery changes as you pass through lush green valleys dotted with walnut and apple orchards, providing a refreshing contrast to the arid landscapes of the desert regions. Upon reaching Marrakech, your tour driver will assist you with your luggage and bid you farewell, ensuring you are comfortably settled in your chosen accommodation.
